How Does Millennium Hall Handle Parking?

Parking permits for spaces at Millennium Hall are reserved for Millennium Hall students only. We do not have enough parking spaces for all of our Residents, so priority is given to our returning students who may reserve a parking permit during their renewal process.

New Residents who wish to be considered for one of the remaining available spaces must indicate on their application that they would like to be added to our parking permit waiting list. In July, each Resident on the parking permit waiting list will receive a random lottery number. We will begin extending parking permit offers to new Residents for the remaining parking spaces in lottery number order (with number 1 receiving the first parking permit offer).

If you receive a parking permit offer, you must complete your parking application and remit payment for the parking permit by the deadline listed in the offer email. If you miss your deadline, you will not be eligible for a second offer. Parking permit costs for the 2017-2018 academic year: $349 (academic year), $200 (fall semester only).

Please check under Applications/Forms under the Parking heading for information about our parking policy and guidelines. If you do not secure parking at Millennium Hall, please visit TU’s Parking Services page for information about other on-campus parking options.

If you have completed the necessary steps to secure a parking permit for Millennium Hall’s lot, you may pick up your permit during move-in weekend. You must provide Management with information about your vehicle, including your license plate number, before you can issue you your permit.

Permits MUST be hung from your review mirror, and MUST be displayed at all times when parking in the lot. The permit is what the towing company uses to verify that the vehicle is permitted to be in the lot.

Can I Use My Financial Aid To Pay My Rent?

Financial Aid and loans can be used to pay for your housing at Millennium Hall. However, you must notify Financial Aid that Millennium Hall is on-campus housing, but privately owned and managed. You will need to contact the Financial Aid Office (410-704-4239) to find out what will be covered under your award package. If funds are there, we won’t expect your rental payment until you receive your rebate check, provided you submit the Millennium Hall Financial Aid Agreement (available under the Application / Forms tab of our website), documentation of your aid, and the anticipated date that the funds will be available. You must provide to Millennium Hall official documentation (copy of award letter / printout of Online Services award page) to confirm your award. Otherwise, you will be subject to a five percent (5%) late fee for not paying your rent on time. Please complete and submit the Financial Aid Agreement to Millennium Hall, not Towson University. Any Towson University based expenses being covered by financial aid will be applied directly by the University. You will then be issued a rebate check for any remaining amount that you can use to pay for your rent. The Financial Aid Office doesn’t pay Millennium Hall directly.
